Center for the Study of Coherence Theory
Camp Urga is a remote, off-grid sanctuary in Mohave County, AZ. It is a place to return to what matters: yourself, the land, silence, and your own knowing. Named for the archangels URiel (light) and GAbriel (message), Urga holds space for contemplation, storytelling, and the study of natural systems that have endured for billions of years.
This is not a resort or a retreat center. This is a place of hiddenness, accessible only by invitation, designed for those who seek depth, solitude, and the courage to face themselves in silence and solitude.
Urga offers a digital detox: silence, space, and contemplation in a landscape that teaches deep enduring truths. You arrive by private transportation in a 4x4 vehilce. You stay in a simple austere private yurt. You bathe in a wood-fired tub. You sit by fire. You walk. You rest. You remember.
Maximum 6 guests at any time. No schedule of activities. Only permission to be present.
Urga sits on 40 acres in Mohave County, Arizona, at 5,900 feet elevation. The land is pinyon-juniper woodland meeting semi-arid desert. Massive BLM and state trust lands stretch over 100,000 acres of wilderness adjacent.
This is ancestral land of the Hualapai Nation, "the people of the tall pines." We are temporary custodians, holding the land in trust for future generations.
Simple camp kitchen cabin, 4 private yurts, Japanese-inspired sento bathing, dry toilet facilities, water catchment systems, fire circle, pathways. No electricity by design. Redundant satellite communication capability provided only for emergencies.
Silence, darkness, stars, wildlife (deer, elk, antelope, coyotes), desert flora (pinyon, juniper, sage), vast sky, real seasons, real climate.
Dirt roads, white glove 4x4 pickup and dropoff from Nevada (Las Vegas or Laughlin) and Arizona (Bullhead City or Kingman). Remote by design.
The wisdom gleaned from studying nature's most stable systems, those that have endured billions of years, feeds the work of CSG. Urga is where we learn. CSG is where we teach and build.
Both are instruments of coherence: one grounded in land, one expressed through technology and coherent systems.
Explore CSGUrga is not open to the general public. Entry is by application and invitation. We accept people who seek silence, embrace simplicity, can sit with themselves, and respect the land.
